The Policy applies to all employees, executives, and management and is implemented across all operations and business activities.

The Policy incorporates risks related to technological and legal transitions, physical risks associated with acute and chronic climate change, as well as opportunities related to products and services.

To achieve the above, ILEP S.A.. commits to the following:

Compliance with climate and energy legislation

  • ILEP S.A. will comply with applicable energy and carbon legislation, including EU climate directives, ESRS standards (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), and other national and international regulations. The company is committed to adhering to international legislative frameworks related to climate, such as the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals #7 and #13. ILEP S.A. complies with mandatory reporting frameworks, ensuring transparent and accurate disclosure of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, energy consumption, and climate-related risks.

 

Continuous improvement of energy efficiency

  • ILEP S.A. will continuously improve energy efficiency by implementing and maintaining an effective energy management system. The energy performance system will aim to reduce energy consumption, optimize resource use, and integrate renewable energy sources while maintaining a safe and comfortable working environment. Regular energy audits are planned to ensure improvements and compliance with best practices.

 

Carbon footprint reduction strategy

  • ILEP S.A. will develop and implement strategies to identify and reduce direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scopes 2 and 3) carbon dioxide emissions associated with its activities. At the same time, ILEP S.A. commits to a gradual transition to Renewable Energy Sources when economically and technologically feasible.

  • ILEP S.A... will collaborate with industry and public sector entities to promote and implement best practices in energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, and climate change mitigation. The company will actively participate in industry associations, promoting the improvement of regulations and policies that support sustainable business practices and energy transitions.

 

Regular monitoring and continuous improvement

  • ILEP S.A. will review and monitor its performance regarding energy and carbon dioxide emissions. This includes energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and climate-related risks, ensuring transparency and alignment with global and European climate goals.

 

Governance and accountability

  • The approval and responsibility for implementing this Energy and Climate Change Policy lie with the senior executives of ILEP S.A. These executives will ensure that energy and climate aspects are fully integrated into corporate strategy and operations, with regular oversight from the Board of Directors.

Communication and Distribution

It is the responsibility of ILEP S.A. management to communicate the content and spirit of this document to all direct and associated staff and stakeholders. This Policy is published and posted on the company’s website. To enhance awareness, ILEP S.A. will ensure that employees receive adequate training and guidance on Energy and Climate Change practices, tailored to their roles and areas of influence.

The Policy will be amended biennially to ensure compliance with legal requirements and any other relevant updates.
