The Policy has been developed taking into account the interests of ILEP’s key stakeholders.

The Policy applies to all employees (staff, executives, and management) and is implemented across all operations and business activities.

The ultimate goal is “Zero accidents, zero occupational diseases.”

This Policy is developed to address material adverse impacts related to health and safety, such as unsafe conditions leading to occupational accidents and/or illnesses.

The Policy incorporates health and safety risks, as well as potential legal liabilities and reputational damage to ILEP S.A.

To achieve the above, ILEP S.A. must adhere to the following commitments:

  • Adoption of a comprehensive risk assessment framework, ensuring that the reporting and mitigation of all significant health and safety risks are carried out appropriately.

Incident reporting and investigation

  • Reporting, investigation, and disclosure of all incidents (accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions). Health and safety data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) must be disclosed to enhance transparency.
  • Immediate implementation of corrective and preventive measures, ensuring that incident investigations contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Encouragement of active consultation and participation of employees and their representatives in decision-making processes regarding Health and Safety, with particular attention to vulnerable groups.

Occupational Health and Safety

  • Provision of safe and healthy working conditions, including appropriate facilities, tools, and protective measures, in order to minimize occupational injuries/illnesses.
  • Promotion of awareness on mental health issues and ensuring that employees have access to mental well-being support resources. This includes addressing psychosocial risks and fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Ensuring the protection of both physical and mental well-being, taking into account the diverse needs of employees, including gender-specific health issues.

Continuous improvement and monitoring

  • Continuous improvement of OHS performance through the involvement of employees and contractors.
  • Integration of Health and Safety as a key element across all operations and within the corporate culture.
  • Zero tolerance for deviations from agreed Health and Safety regulations for all employees and partners.
  • Health and Safety is everyone’s responsibility. The commitment of employees and partners to protect Health and Safety “everywhere and at all times” is a prerequisite for continued employment and collaboration.
  • Integration of OHS performance into the company’s overall sustainability reporting and governance structures, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management and health promotion.

Governance and accountability

ILEP S.A. will establish governance mechanisms to monitor, evaluate, and manage health and safety impacts and risks.
